The
Welsh Brass Consort in it's current incarnation was founded in 1998 by members of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera.
The group became well established throughout Wales, giving concerts for Prince Charles, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The Consort has an extensive repertoire, and has premièred new pieces by Welsh Composers Pwll ap Sion, John Rea,
and Ian Lawson to name but three.
Outside the group, it's members have busy careers in music, whether in the orchestra, chamber music, or as soloists in their own right.
During the evening the Consort will perform the première of a new piece by James Symington,
a Cardiff based music student currently studying at Cardiff University.
